I am a Permanent Member (or Community Ambassador) of the Drupal Association. The Gaza footage is released under the ‘Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution’ license which allows for commercial and non-commercial use. This means that news outlets, filmmakers and bloggers will be able to easily share, remix, subtitle or reuse our footage.
Drupal is an empowering technology, and with this site we, on the outside, gain insight into the lives of humans that are in the midst of an unimaginable struggle.

Thanks for posting
Thanks for posting this Robert. I'm really excited about this - Drupal, CC and Al Jazeera all in one project (and in less than a week!). Pity the circumstance though :(
Here is the full release.
As per your request, here
As per your request, here are the links for the other Drupal sites that went up recently on the aljazeera.net domain:

The CC license they have
The CC license they have used includes no-derivative use so I don't believe one can remix it. Other than that, seems great.
I think they've got the Gaza set licensed differently
There's also a CC license that covers the whole site that is attribution, non-commercial, non-deriv. They should be more clear about that, probably.

license
The site is covered by an BY-NC-ND license but each video is licensed differently. Actually, all the videos up currently are all CC BY which means they can be remixed.
I see how this is causing confusion. We'll try to figure out how best to sort it out.
