My friends in San Francisco have been working in secret for the last year to create a product (Drup.us) which is at once inspired by Drupal, yet written with a 100% Service Oriented Architecture. Rumor has it that there is a semantically driven workflow-to-realtional query engine (sessionless state-machine). They may even beat Flock at their own game. Furthermore, there is evidence that Dries is in San Francisco (on his honeymoon, no less), so I'm thinking that he's involved as well.
