Things are looking sunny in California. Brilliant politics and the long needed human face that needed to be put on the issue of Gay Marriange. I really enjoyed this article; City sues state saying ban on same-sex marriages unconstitutional. It is full of great quotes and little clues that change is going to come quickly and irrevocably. And I just love it when the Religious Right opens it’s mouth on the issue:

Soon after Herrera’s announcement, sign-carrying protesters argued with gay couples. Several signs proclaimed religious messages, such as “God Will Seek Vengeance” and “The Wicked Shall Be Turned Into Hell.”

“We want to confront the nation with what happens when you call sodomy marriage,” said protester Jonathan O’Toole of Kansas City, Mo. “These people are unable to control their lusts.”

People get so confused. Sex doesn’t define marriage. Marriage is different for every couple. Marriage isn’t about lusts either. In my opinion, Mr. O’Toole is probably gay, and is so scared about having to control his lusts that he can’t stand seeing others who accept themselves being gay and are able to lead happy normal lives.
