Piano Exercise

Here’s a great new exercise for you: using your right hand, play a trill using 1 and 5 (thumb and pinky) on G and A. Then, using 2, 3, and 4, play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on F#, G#, and A#. And make sure it is molto sostenuto!

Hand exercises

I think you have to be careful "practicing" specific hand exercises for pianist. You have to look at where they come from, and if they have a practical relevant application to specific music or repertoire.

I used to play scales and exercises for hours a day and in the end it was only by working on and understanding the music that it all made any sense.

Totally correct

I wouldn't want anyone to think this is a serious exercise designed to improve one's playing =) It's more of a "hey, betchya can't do this" type of thing.
